As an Occupational Therapist, Alison aims to enhance a person’s ability to engage in occupations or activities, or to modify the occupation or environment to better meet their needs.
As the head of our Healthy Ageing team, Alison is passionate about assisting older adults to live their best life, and supporting the Upwell team to do the same.
This is achieved through a range of interventions held both at our centre and in people’s homes in the community, and continually reviewing service needs to meet the demand and needs of our clients and patients.
Alison has practiced as an Occupational Therapist for 20 years. She has practiced clinically across a number of areas including acute, rehabilitation and community based care in both Melbourne and London. With experience across several Melbourne Hospitals, including a management position, Alison has an excellent knowledge of the health sector, is experienced in a range of clinical areas and understands the importance of evidence based practice and high standards of clinical care.
As an adjunct to her role as an Occupational Therapist, Alison is also a certified Health Coach and is extremely passionate about promoting a holistic approach to health and wellness amongst her patients and clients – with early intervention and prevention being a significant focus of her work.
