Upwell Exercise Physiologist, Hannah Dower, is a passionate advocate for exercise throughout life.


Thanks to her experience in the gym, rehabilitation and private sector, Hannah has developed extensive skills in exercise prescription for many chronic and musculoskeletal conditions.  She also has a keen interest in chronic conditions including cancer, mental health, healthy ageing and arthritic conditions.


With a passion for musculoskeletal, sports and other rehab, Hannah has undertaken work placements with elite swimmers, netballers and footballers and enjoys using her experience in the strength and conditioning sector to achieve rehabilitation outcomes for patients, of all ages and to help people feel positive about what the human body is capable of.


Being a member of Exercise and Sport Science Australia, Sports Medicine Australia (ESSA) and a former ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach, Hannah is knowledgeable when it comes to getting people moving and improving their health.


She thoroughly enjoys learning the extraordinary benefits that exercise can bring and is excited by what the future holds for exercise in healthcare.


Hannah is also a strong believer in exercise as medicine and enjoys working collaboratively to achieve strong and successful patient outcomes.  It is Hannah’s greatest privilege to be able to assist everyone in believing in their own greatness and challenging people to become the best version of themselves with a little bit of fun thrown in on the side.


Hannah loves inspiring every individual and giving them the tools and courage to take control of their own health.


In addition to her role as an exercise physiologist, Hannah has worked a sports trainer for 6 years at local level, VFL level and AFLW level, has extensive gym experience as a personal trainer and also has worked previously as a research assistant in the field of neurovascular degeneration.

Definitely my family and close friends. Not being afraid to take the plunge and try something new to push me out of my comfort zone.
