Massage Camberwell

Remedial & Relaxation Massage Camberwell Melbourne

What is Remedial Massage?

Remedial massage takes relaxation massage up a notch to address specific pain or tension in your body. Sport, injuries and accidents can cause your muscles, ligaments, tendons and connective tissue to become damaged or sore. A remedial massage therapist applies deep tissue manipulation, myofascial tensioning, cupping or heat to targeted areas, which helps your body to return to optimal health.

Remedial massage is very effective at loosening stiff joints and muscles to prevent future injuries from occurring, so it’s great to include a regular remedial massage in your training or treatment regime.

  • REMEDIAL MASSAGE

    • Remedial massage is a deeper, more therapeutic style of massage that specifically addresses pain or tension in your body through the treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues. Sport, injuries and accidents can cause these areas of  your body to become damaged or sore. A remedial massage therapist applies deep tissue manipulation, myofascial tensioning, cupping or heat to targeted areas, which helps your body to return to optimal health. Remedial massage is very effective at loosening stiff joints and muscles to prevent future injuries from occurring, so it’s great to include a regular remedial massage in your treatment or training regime.

  • PREGNANCY MASSAGE

    • Pregnancy is a joyous time, but it can also be a stressful time. During pregnancy your body is changing and making room for the little one. This can cause pain, stress, discomfort and sometimes circulation difficulties. Pregnancy massage helps with all of these common occurring issues. Our specially-trained therapists use long gliding massage strokes to decrease muscle  tension, stress, anxiety, edema, joint pain and increase general circulation. Sciatic nerve pain can be a common occurrence during pregnancy due to pressure on your pelvis and/or lower back.  Massage can help reduce this pain and increase movement around this area. Pregnancy massage is safe after 14 weeks of your pregnancy. However, please note that everyone is different so if you have any doubts, please seek advice from your treating doctor or obstetrician.

  • RELAXATION MASSAGE

    • Relaxation massage helps you to unwind. If you’re stressed, tired and need to just take some time for yourself and relax, then a relaxation massage courtesy of one of our highly qualified massage therapists is the answer. A relaxation massage treatment utilises long, short and smooth gliding strokes to softly manipulate your muscles, decreasing general muscle tension and in-turn de-stressing your body and your mind.

  • LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE

    • Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD) is a style of massage designed to work specifically on the Lymphatic System. Also commonly known as Manual Lymphatic Drainage or Manual Lymph Drainage, this technique is used to help treat lymphedema – which is an accumulation of fluid that can occur after lymph nodes are removed during surgery, most commonly following a mastectomy for breast cancer.
This type of massage is known to regenerate tissues to reduce scarring at surgical incision sites. Lymph drainage massages also reduce swelling and detoxifies the body.
This treatment is also great for surgical procedures which have left you with a lot of swelling. MLD encourages the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.
